Difficulty finding local farmers market/events and cultivating a healthy community

PROBLEM ⛔️
When living in a city or constantly on the move, cracking the nut of finding local farmers markets and connecting with your community can be a tough shell to crack. Amidst the saturated world of social media apps, event pages, and endless Google searches, is there a more convenient way to nourish a sustainable lifestyle?

A friendly, curated app that does it all – connecting locals, cultivating sustainability, harvesting health and joy

SOLUTION 💡

Outdated app designs or apps with too much noise

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS 🔎

Google search only shows the most popular markets in the area, and doesn’t show much information outside of hours and address, and you’ll have to do some more digging to see which vendors will be present at the market. Nextdoor is oversaturated with neighbors posting about anything happening in the area ranging from sirens to lost pets, and other businesses advertising themselves. Soko is more curated than a google search, but lacks social connection capabilities. Eventbrite poses the same issue as Nextdoor in having too much with other businesses and corporations.

Gathering insights to further improve the experience

USER INTERVIEW OUTLINE ✏️

Formulating user interview questions from my 4 buckets of themes (connection, empowerment, joy, and sense of purpose) to gather specific pain points, feedback, and insights for improving the app. Through data from users, I'm able to identify areas for improvement to enhance the user experience.

REFLECTIONS + IMPROVEMENTS ✨
Stemming from a real life frustration I have faced, along with my peers who share the same interest and passion for sustainable living, I'm super proud to have develop my vision into a living shareable project where I've developed another level of appreciating deep learning for the UX process. Here are some ideas I'd try out:

UX JOURNEY = INTERATIVE JOURNEY

Continuous Feedback and Iterative Updates–Actively seeking user feedback, conducting surveys, and regularly releasing updates based on user needs and preferences can drive ongoing improvement and ensure the app remains relevant and valuable.

FARM TO TABLE DELIVERY

Integration with Delivery Services–Offering options for online ordering and delivery from local farmers markets or vendors can cater to users who prefer convenience or have limited mobility.

INSPIRE WITH YEARLY IMPACT REPORTS

Integration with Sustainability Metrics–Incorporating sustainability metrics or eco-friendly certifications can enable users to identify farmers markets and vendors that align with their sustainability goals, promoting transparency and conscious consumerism.
